Trivium's frontman Matt Heafy is absolutely no stranger to covers, frequently jumping onto his Twitch channel to put his own twist on a whole bunch of different songs for fans, but he's now officially released a cover of 'My Mother Told Me', the epic Norse folk song that featured in the TV show Vikings!
Heafy released three versions - one heavier cut, an acoustic rendition and a pure a cappella version that can all be found on streaming services now.
The tune conjures up imagery of misty breath and frosty mountains, and it also seems to make you grow a large beard just by listening to it:
Matt Heafy also released a cover of 'Toss A Coin To Your Witcher' back in June, paying homage to the ultra-popular Witcher franchise. Between Trivium livestreams, Twitch streams and side projects with Jared Dines and Ihsahn (Emperor), this dude just does not rest!
