The legendary Ozzy Osbourne has today revealed that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, amidst a string of health issues which forced him to cancel and delay shows throughout 2019.
Ozzy told Good Morning America that the diagnosis came last February, after the nerve-affecting disease was exacerbated by a fall at 2018 New Year's Eve show, stating:
"I did my last show New Year's Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves."
His wife Sharon also says that Ozzy's particular form of Parkinson's isn't the most severe:
"It's PRKN 2 - there's so many different types of Parkinson's; it's not a death sentence by any stretch of the imagination, but it does affect certain nerves in your body. And it's... it's like you have a good day, a good day, and then a really bad day."
The 71-year-old musician is set to release his new album, and first in a decade, Ordinary Man on February 21.
