Taylor Momsen was bitten by a bat while performing with The Pretty Reckless in Spain. The bite occurred during the band's set at an AC/DC show in Sevilla and resulted in Momsen being left with some gnarly fang marks on her leg, Momsen also required a post-gig rabies shot.
The bite occurred during the band's performance of Witches Burn, with the bat, which had been causing some disturbance in the moshpit, moments earlier, had become quite enamoured with the former Gossip Girl star and current rock queen's legs.
Fan footage of the incident shows Momsen announcing "There is a fucking flying bat on my leg right now. Can someone help me, please?" Noting the irony of the incident occurring during the song Witches Burn Momsen added "I must really be a witch!".
The Pretty Reckless crew helped free Momsen from the bat, but not before it could sink its fangs into her legs. You can watch footage of it all going down below.
After the show, Momen took to social media to share her story and update fans on her well-being. "So... ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT... in Seville Wednesday during 'Witches Burn' of all songs... a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg... in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing." "He was cute, but yes he bit me... so rabies shots for the next two weeks. Thanks to all the staff at the hospital who dubbed me batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning."
Momsen now sees herself joining Ozzy Osbourne and Alice Cooper in having infamous hard rock moments involving bats. Ozzy of course was the alleged aggressor in his incident, so perhaps this bat was finally getting revenge for his species? The Pretty Reckless have continued the tour with AC/DC with no further issues.
