Coheed And Cambria & Periphery To Headline 2024 Monolith Festival

Coheed and Cambria (USA) and Periphery (USA) are set to headline the 2024 edition of the Australian prog festival Monolith. The prog giants will be joined by Leprous (NOR), Intervals (CAN) and Novelists (FRA) when the single-stage festival hits Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in November. Locals Silver Fang will also feature in Brisbane and Melbourne. Workshops, panels, market stalls and DJs will be added to further enhance the festival experience for Australian prog fans, turning the venues into a progtopia.

In Hearts Wake will release their sixth full-length Incarnation on Friday 12 July via UNFD. Incarnation sees the Byron Bay metalcore monsters continuing to evolve the scope of both their sound and their vision. Ahead of Incarnation's arrival, we caught up with vocalist Jake Taylor, who filled us in on the five key influences that led to the creation of the record. It's an eclectic list incorporating everything from Tarot to video games to pop culture emperors, Boston hardcore bands and real-world reflections.

Metallica have released professionally shot footage of their performance of Am I Evil at Tons of Rock Festival in Oslo, Norway.
The performance saw them join forces with one of the men who wrote the iconic metal tune, Diamond Head guitarist Brian Tatler to the absolute delight of both the band and the audience.

Crazy Town Frontman Shifty Shellshock Reportedly Died From 'Accidental Overdose'

Crazy Town frontman Seth 'Shifty Shellshock' Binzer's cause of death has reportedly been revealed by his representative, Howard Hubberman. Speaking to Rolling Stone, Hubberman revealed that it is believed Binzer, who passed away on Monday died of an 'accidental overdose'. Binzer's former bandmate and Crazy Town co-founder Bret 'Epic' Mazur took to social media overnight to post his thoughts on the passing of the man alongside whom he rose to stardom in the late '90s.
