Slipknot percussionist and co-founder Shawn Crahan (AKA Clown) has confirmed in a recent interview with Metal Hammer that the band are working on new music!

In a recent interview, Slipknots Shaun 'Clown' Crahan spoke briefly on his encounter with one of their most dedicated fans. Ahead of their new concert movie, Day Of The Gusano, Clown told AltPress “I met some people that sold their car to get tickets for their whole family. That’s insane to me – to sell a vehicle for the idea of rock’n’roll, for a band called Slipknot."

It’s always a good day when another piece of information comes out about the new Slipknot record, and today it’s come out that Jim Root will be sitting out of the next Stone Sour tour in order to focus on the next Slipknot release!Christian Martucci will be filling in on guitar instead, so fans shouldn’t be too disappointed.

I don’t know about you, but all these bits and pieces that the boys ofSlipknot keep telling us about their next album is just making me more and more anxious about its release!

“I decided that every year on my birthday I’m going to release a new clown mask.

We know about Clown’s love for making documentaries on Slipknot’s albums but lately he’s been branching away from musical docs as he took part in a documentary about the scariest haunted house in America, the House of Shock in New Orleans which will be coming out soon.
