We've seen some fantastic musical crossovers on the live stage over the years, and Matt Heafy has now reminded us of the time when Trivium invited Corey Taylor and Robb Flynn (Machine Head) to perform Metallica's 'Creeping Death'!
Uploading the performance to his YouTube channel, Heafy introduces Corey and Robb as a surprise during the band's Golden Gods Awards 2012 set. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's a badass combination that you just love to see.
Some other things worth pointing out are the crowd - who are way too dead for what they're witnessing - and a hilariously bad censorship job on swear words throughout (they even completely miss F-bombs), but the explanation for that is as follows:
"since there are A LOT of comments regarding the censoring. Unfortunately it was already in the original footage that was used to create this multi angle edit. So nothing we could have done there!"

Heafy has been busy releasing more of his own music lately, including acoustic versions of Trivium albums https://www.maniacsonline.com.au/news/matt-heafy-releases-acoustic-ascendancy-ep-210466and a metal version of the viral Sea Shanty remix of 'Wellerman'.
