Australian metal icons have announced the Between Birth and Death 20th anniversary tour.
The tour announcement follows Sunk Loto's monumental rebirth in 2022, which saw the band come together for the first time in fifteen years, to sell out rooms up and down the east coast.
A celebration of their iconic 2003 full-length, Between Birth and Death the tour will see them playing the album in full in Fremantle, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The tour kicks off on October 20th in Fremantle at the Freo Social Club before hitting Brisbane's Tivoli Theatre on November 4th and Sydney's Metro Theatre on November 10th, before winding up in Melbourne on November 17th at Max Watts.
These once-in-a-lifetime shows will once again bring together all four original Sunk Loto members, offering both fans and the band a chance to revisit the prominent 12-track full length still permeating in the psyche of metal purists.
Between Birth and Death peaked #48 on the ARIA Albums Chart, with engineer Paul McKercher snagging an ARIA nomination for his work on the album the following year, Between Birth and Death has remained the Sunk Loto's second and seemingly final album - that is, until 2023.
With the band confirming a brand new album is currently in the works, the exhilarating new Sunk Loto chapter appears to be in full and thunderous swing.
This tour shapes as a chance for the band and fans to relive the likes of 5 Years of Silence, Everything Everyway and Past Tense Existence live in one glorious trip down memory lane before the new material unfurls.
General tickets for the tour go on sale on Thursday 6th April at 9 am (yep, that's tomorrow), with a pre-sale running from 9 am today. A select number of meet and greet VIP tickets will be available. Head here to purchase tickets and to find out more info.
