Slipknot fans have been getting pretty spoiled with content during lockdown, with their full Download 2019 set recently being released for free, and now BBC1 have made a new documentary about the band available called Slipknot Unmasked: All Out Life, which was previously accessible via an exclusive media player.
It's a unique look into one of the most successful metal bands ever, featuring interviews with the band members between footage from their intimate recent show at BBC1's live studio.
Founding member and Slipknot mastermind Shawn Crahan (aka Clown) speaks of his injuries sustained over the course of his career:
"The injuries have stacked up to a point where it's like "be careful". It's the things that are starting to happen because of the longevity of the band. It used to be these sorts of things like bones...now it's the responsibility making the decisions that I made.
I have the worst tendonitis and carpal tunnel from hitting a keg with a pipe. It's called shock. When you use metal on metal, and the point of [contact]...the vibration has to go somewhere, so it goes out the bottom of the keg and up my arm. A normal person would just quit using the pipe, but I can't get the sound out any other way. It's part of the recipe."
