Slipknot have had to bring a show to a temporary halt after the maggots at their Arizona show lit a giant bonfire in the moshpit!
In wild scenes that bring to mind some footage from Woodstock 99, fans at the Ak-Chin Pavillon set fire to a segment of lawn at the outdoor venue and then fed it plenty of fuel in the form of lawn chairs and garbage, before starting a circle pit around the raging fire. Watch the chaos unfold as the band play All Out Life below in some fan footage!
While this scene was assuredly metal AF, it was also dangerous AF, so Slipknot understandably had to pause the set while the fire was extinguished, meaning that fans reportedly missed out on hearing Duality and Spit It Out. That's a bummer, but not as big of a bummer as it would have been had anyone been killed or injured, which thankfully no one was.
The Arizona show was the final stop of the Knotfest Roadshow with the band set to play their Knotfest live streaming event on Saturday, Aussie time, which will beam their biggest ever headlining show to maggots all around the world. Perhaps the maggots that missed out on Duality and Spit It Out due to the bonfire can catch them on the stream, while circle pitting around their own, much safer, fire pit at home? That's what we'll be doing!
