Prepare to be knocked the F*#K out by Judo CHOP!, the 6-piece melodic punk band hailing from Melbourne, Australia. Their brand new single, Shelf Life, is a punk rock anthem that reminds us of the good old days of underage shows in halls, moshing in thongs and getting free buckets of chicken from the KFC drive-through afterwards. That just us?
Vocalist Murray McDonald says that Shelf Life is about "Grappling with the frailty of life's dumbfounding coincidence. Shelf life points to the human condition of having intelligence enough for self awareness in the morass of unknowing. Authenticity is best and as suggested, you should go your own way. Follow your own road!"
The tune will be officially unleashed into the world this Friday but we have the exclusive premiere below. It's the second single off their forthcoming EP of the same name via People of Punk Rock Records (Bodyjar, Zebrahead, Frenzal Rhomb).
The EP will be launched with a hometown show on Friday 20th August at The Tote upstairs bar, alongside mates Foxtrot and Awake Now. Tickets are available at the band's Facebook page now and are limited to 50 ONLY.
