    Trivium frontman Matt Heafy is getting into the festive spirit this year. The icon of modern metal and Twitch streaming god has released a cover of Jack's Lament from much beloved Tim Burton stop-mothion holiday film The Nightmare Before Christmas.

    Heafy left a short message with the video explaining its purpose and origin and honestly, you can't argue with the logic he used. 

    "Who else loves #nightmarebeforechristmas and it's incredible soundtrack by #dannyelfman?! I have always wanted a Christmas release AND a nightmare release. So now you can have both in one song." 

     

    It's a nice way to end a big year for Heafy and Trivium who released their 10th full-length In The Court Of The Dragon in October.  We spoke to bass player Paulo Gregoletto about making the album and he filled us in on everything else that had been going on in the Trivium camp in 2021.
