Say the words "Space Jam" to anyone between the ages of 25-34 and you'll most likely trigger some crazy waves of nostalgia for them; the cult classic Looney-Tunes-meets-basketball flick from 1996 was such a phenomenon at the time that the entire franchise generated over $6 billion in revenue. It was also a defining film for many childhoods throughout the 90's and beyond.
That's why we were stoked to see that Frog Leap Studios' latest cover turns the iconic Space Jam theme song into a metal banger. Turns out that the bouncy R&B theme combined with some heavy guitar tones ends up sounding super nu-metal, and we love it!
Take a heavy trip down memory lane:
Space Jam 2 is apparently in the works and rumoured to start production this year, with current basketball star LeBron James tapped for the lead role.
