The fresh Matt Heafy content just keeps on coming. The Trivium and Ibaraki frontman and solo artist has just released a metal cover of Surface Pressure from Disney's Encanto. Heafy teams up with YouTube metal maestro Jonathan Young on the metal version of the cheerful earworm and what they've come up with together, rips, rips, rips.
The multi-talented musician, author and Twitch recently added to his recent Ibaraki, Trivium and solo offering's with the new single Perpetual Hate (feat. Josh Devine). Perpetual Hate is an all-out metal assault on the senses that showcases why Heafy is considered a modern god among us mere mortal metalheads. He is joined on the track by percussive powerhouse Josh Devine.
Heafy is one busy man, in addition to Perpetual Hate, and the debut Ibaraki album Heafy also recently released a digital EP consisting of five acoustic reimaginings of songs off of Trivium's 10th studio album, In The Court Of The Dragon.
Listen to Heafy play In The Court Of The Dragon, Feast Of Fire, The Shadow Of The Abbatoir, No Way Back Just Through and The Phalanx below.
The EP is yet another example of Heafy's tireless work ethic and off-the-wall creativity levels and follows his recent uploads of covers of tracks from The Witcher and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Trivium released their 10th full-length album In The Court Of The Dragon last October. We spoke to bass player Paulo Gregoletto about making the album and he filled us in on everything else that had been going on in the Trivium camp.
