Just when we thought we'd left behind the whole djent thing in 2018, metal YouTuber Steve Terreberry has claimed the throne of Djent King with the most ridiculous guitar ever. That being said, even calling it a guitar is a bit of a stretch because it's more like a surfboard with strings on it.
That's right - his new axe has 20 strings on it. That's definitely way too many, although it looks like a pretty fun thing to own as a novelty! In his new video, Steve runs through the unboxing of his new guitar, followed by trying to work out how to navigate the thing.
As Steve explains, it has a black walnut body and was made by custom luthier 10s Guitars, with custom pickups installed by 4 Seasons Pickups.
If you just wanna hear what that bottom string sounds like, skip to 10:45 (and have a spare pair of undies nearby):
You may remember that fellow YouTuber Jared Dines made waves with an 18-string guitar last year, and it seems Stevie's hit a nerve because Jared's put out a response video. Ah yes, djent beef.
The big question is - where and when does it end?
