It is a fine day to be alive, friends, because the French metal titans Gojira are officially back - announcing their seventh album Fortitude will be arriving on April 30!
As a nice little one-two punch, they've also unveiled the album's pummeling opener, 'Born For One Thing', which comes with a seriously amazing music video to boot.

Frontman Joe Duplantier says that the devastating new song is about how consumerism leads us to losing our soul:
“We have to practice detaching ourselves from everything, beginning with actual things. Own less possessions, and give what you don’t need away, because one day we’ll have to let everything go, and if we don’t, we’ll just become ghosts stuck between dimensions.”
Joe also recorded and produced Fortitude at his Silver Cord studio, and also created the artwork seen on the cover.
