In command of well over a billion streams and masters of infectious musical delights, Ghost are a band truly deserving of the word "spectacle"; from their hulking yet glamorous and expertly-crafted sonic output to their otherworldly live performances, continue to grow their ravenously adoring fanbase, relentlessly luring fans in and beyond the heavier realms with each new release and performance.
Brandishing theatricality with a spellbinding twist on a diverse array of genres, the Ghost mystique and staggering prowess equally flow onstage and across five full-length albums and multiple EPs, including a brand new covers EP PHANTOMIME due out this May. Armed with five tracks that cover classics and deep cuts by Television, Genesis, The Stranglers, Iron Maiden and Tina Turner, PHANTOMIME will also ultimately bridge the glistening foundations of the group's internationally chart-smashing 2022 album Impera, which debuted at #1 in a sweep of the US album charts.
Helmed over the years by Tobias Forge and an ever-shifting identity as various incarnations of the demonic Papa Emeritus, and briefly as Cardinal Copia, Ghost's fluctuations also burrow deeply into an ambitious and innovative DNA. Spanning everything from heavy metal to hard rock, doom metal, psychedelic rock, pop and more, Ghost have enamoured and challenged the status quo throughout their career while also sweeping critical acclaim.
Boasting the macabre sensuality by Forge and accompanied by an army of instrumentalists known as Nameless Ghouls, Ghost's notorious performances gleefully break free of any preconceived notions of a typical live metal show, with confetti cannons, disco lights, a razor-sharp aesthetic and everything in between taking centre stage over the years on both festival runs and gargantuan arena tours.
