It looks as though things are beginning to stir over at the Code Orange camp, who are teasing something with an elaborate new 360 degree website titled what is really underneath?
In the site, there are tons of clues and hints littered around for the viewer to click on and find including binary, a phone, a Discord group, puzzle solving, code cracking and teaser clips of what appears to be new music.
The website begins loading with various ambient sounds of wind howling and buttons being pushed, and once loaded will place you in a room surrounded by mysterious figures staring at you with another lying on a table right underneath you. You can look around the room by dragging your finger across your mobile screen or clicking and dragging on desktop to interact with the environment around you.
We don't want to spoil everything to do, because it's actually pretty fun to play around on there, but some key things we have gathered from exploring the new site include:
- The binary found in each video and on the wall in the room translates to "fridaythe13th" - the nearest 13th that falls on a Friday is in March
- The phone can actually be called, resulting in a creepy voicemail and a text back to your phone
- Clicking on one of the computer screens will take you to join a Discord group called Thinners of the Herd, a reference to Code Orange fans. Band member Shade is in there chatting with fans
- One of the codes works out to be 01-10-2020, leading us to believe something will drop on January 10
One thing is for sure - this is a really awesome marketing campaign and it totally reminds us of an old school point-and-click adventure game from the 90s!
We'll update you with more news as it happens.
