Chinese New Year isn't until late January, but this video of grandparents getting brutal in a metalcore song from last year's Chinese New Year was too good not to share!
Titled The Most Emotional Chinese New Year, it was designed to be sung form the point of grandparents who overheard their grandkids complaining about having to hang on the Chinese holiday, and it actually goes really hard.
A grandma screams about not giving the ang pao to her family (the traditional red envelope with monetary gifts) unless they pay attention to her, while asking the real questions such as why her grandkids aren't married yet.
There's no doubt that the song was composed by someone else, but seeing elderly people yelling over what could be an A Day To Remember track is pretty golden. The video's ending is pretty gut-wrenching too - check it out:
