    German power metal powerhouse Blind Guardian have announced a 2024 tour of Australia. 

    Responsible for one of the most beloved catalogues in the genre, the genre giants will perform for fans down under for the first time in nine years in 2024.  The tour supports their twelfth full-length, 2022's heralded The God Machine. With a history dating back to their formation in 1984, the Krefeld-based band are considered the foremost purveyors of fantasy-fuelled power metal. Lovingly referred to by fans as 'The Bards', the tour will see them bring their epic storytelling and musical abilities to Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney in February, the Adelaide and Brisbane dates will be historic affairs, marking the first time they've performed in those territories. 

    Tickets for the tour, which kicks off in Brisbane on Monday, February 5th at the Princess Theatre, will go on-sale to the general public on Monday, August 7th at 10 am AEST via Overdrive Touring. A pre-sale for early-bird VIP tickets will be available from Thursday, August 3rd at 10 am AEST. Further details are available via the Overdrive Touring website.

    Epic tales of good and evil are the bedrock of Blind Guardian, and what better way to hear these tales told than through the dulcet and bombastic voice of Hansi Kürsch? 

    Who better to pound the drums of war than Frederik Ehmke? And to declare those fateful words, “You have my axe,” none other than veteran guitarists André Olbrich and Marcus Siepen. 



    From the dystopian conflicts of the future to the gates of Valhalla itself, Germany’s legendary bards will take Australian fans on an epic journey spanning their expansive back catalogue, 40 years after Kürsch and Olbrich first joined musical forces.
