A power metal-loving security guard has delighted metal fans by crowd surfing while on duty at a metal festival.
The as-yet-unidentified hero found himself unable to resist the urge to crowd surf at the Vagos Metal Fest in Portugal on the weekend. The security guard chose Italian power metallers, Wind Rose, to soundtrack his now-viral crowd surfing expedition. The band themselves were rather impressed stating "Our show at Vagos Metal Fest was so good the security crowd surfed" and posted a humorous video comparing the security at Vagos to the security at a recent trap festival.
You can watch the guards' full crowd surfing adventure in the video below.
The security guard's exploits have returned honour to his profession, after the infamous Tom Morello incident that saw him tackled off the stage by a member of security at a recent Rage Against The Machine show. His crowd surfing has also brought some deserved attention to the epic power metal prowess of Wind Rose, who released Warfront earlier this year via Napalm Records.
The Tuscany-based band has released five studio albums. The band's style is a combination of power metal and folk metal accompanied by orchestration and vocal harmonies, with lyrical themes inspired by the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, especially Tolkien's Dwarves, from which the band also gets their aesthetic. The band's sound has been referred to as 'Dwarven Metal'.
