With the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards scheduled to take place on January 31, 2021, the nominees for the 'Best Metal Performance' category have been revealed too include Code Orange, Poppy, In This Moment, Power Trip and Body Count.
While this category is the only recognition for heavy artists throughout the entire ceremony, it's still a solid list of nominations. In what appears to be a tribute to the tragic passing of Power Trip vocalist Riley Gale earlier this year, 'Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe)' is the only song on the list that wasn't released in 2020, featuring on the band's 2017 record Nightmare Logic.
Code Orange and Body Count find themselves nominated alongside each other for the second time after both receiving their first nominations in 2018.
Here's the full list ():
Best Metal Performance
Body Count / "Bum-Rush"
Code Orange / "Underneath"
In This Moment / "The In-Between"
Poppy / "Bloodmoney"
Power Trip / "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe) (Live)
