In some supremely disappointing news, Metallica's massive upcoming Australian/New Zealand tour with Slipknot throughout October has officially been called off.

As if Metallica weren't already the biggest heavy band in the world among adults, they've decided to crack the kids market with a new illustrated children's book titled The ABCs Of Metallica, which will release in November.

As Metallica still trek across the world for their insanely-successful Worldwired Tour, some more awesome footage has surfaced from their show at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on June 18, where it was absolutely pissing rain.

There's a lot of great metal content out there in the vast digital ocean, and YouTuber Pete Cottrell creates some of the best with his 1 Riff 20 Bands series, where he takes a riff from one band and translates it into a ton of other styles!

The wonderful talent of Anthony Vincent aka Ten Second Songs has returned, this time with 20 different takes on Metallica's classic 'Enter Sandman'! 

The trailer for a movie about the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy has been released, including some short snippets of Metallica frontman James Hetfield acting as a cop.
