French metal titans Gojira shocked the world over the weekend, teaming up with opera singer Marina Viotti for an unforgettable performance at the 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony in Paris. The formidable quartet from Ondres, Landes and Viotti performed a punishing rendition of the French Revolutionary anthem Ah! Ça Ira, outside of Conciergerie Palace. In a new interview,singer-guitarist Joe Duplantier has reflected on the instantly iconic moment and revealed how it all came together in the first place.
- In his latest viral upload, the man behind the infamous 10-Second Songs series takes a song we've all known since we were children, The ABC Song and transforms it into a raging Slipknot anthem.
- Paramore have won the 2024 GRAMMY Awards for 'Best Rock Album' and 'Best Alternative Music Performance'. The 'Best Rock Album' nod makes them the first band fronted by a female to win the category. Vocalist Hayley Williams is only the third female singer to win in the category, awarded since 1995, following Alanis Morrisette (1996) and Sheryl Crow (1999).
