French metal titans Gojira shocked the world over the weekend, teaming up with opera singer Marina Viotti for an unforgettable performance at the 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony in Paris. The formidable quartet from Ondres, Landes and Viotti performed a punishing rendition of the French Revolutionary anthem Ah! Ça Ira, outside of Conciergerie Palace. In a new interview,singer-guitarist Joe Duplantier has reflected on the instantly iconic moment and revealed how it all came together in the first place.
- Skid Row have announced that Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale will be filling in for them on vocals on some upcoming tour dates. Hale will fill temporarily fill the void left by current vocalist Erik Grönwall who has been forced to exit the band due to ongoing health issues. Predictably the departure of Grönwall had fans wondering whether a long-awaited reunion with classic-era singer Sebastian Bach could be on the cards. Bach has revealed for the first time that he is open to the idea of rejoining the group he left acrimoniously in 1996.
