The Voice isn't exactly a show that calls itself the home of metal music; much like similar shows X Factor and Idol, contestants primarily audition singing more mainstream styles like pop and R&B.
Enter Stefanie Stuber, who decided to throw all of that out the window and take on the blind audition process on Germany's The Voice by covering Lamb Of God's 'Ghost Walking'.
With their backs to Stefanie, the judges are understandably pretty shocked when the song kicks in and she starts screaming her heart out, but by the end of the whole thing they're super into it, with all four of them hitting their buttons to turn around and find out what the hell was happening!
Check out the performance below, which ends at around the 2-minute mark and is followed by applause from the crowd and judges:
Given that she got through the auditions, we might see some more brutal covers in the coming months as she works her way through the competition.
Stuber is no stranger to metal, and she's been in multiple bands before including Mission In Black, Sonic Rainbow and Enslave The Chain according to ThePRP.
Massive props to Stefanie and let's start seeing some more of this!
Listen to Lamb Of God now.
