The dark history of the black metal genre has long been a subject of interest among many, and now it appears as though a feature film called Lords Of Chaos will be out in February, and will explore the infamous Norwegian black metal scene in the 90's.
Based on the book of the same name, Lords of Chaos will include Rory Culkin (Macaulay's brother) as Mayhem founder Euronymous, Sky Ferreira as Euronymous's girlfriend, Anthony De La Torre as Mayhem's drummer Hellhammer and Emory Cohen as Varg Vikernes, who as we all know ended up in prison for killing Euronymous.
Check out the trailer below:
The film was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who played drums for Bathory from 1983-1984, and has worked creatively with Metallica, Lady Gaga, The Smashing Pumpkins, U2 and Rammstein to name a few.
Lords Of Chaos will be available on demand around the end of February after being screened at this years Sundance Film Festival in New York.
