Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), has been mercilessly booed by thousands of loyal Slipknot fans at Louder Than Life Festival.
In his first live performance since initiating the feud that has taken the internet by storm with Slipknots Corey Taylor, MGK felt the full wrath of the fiercely loyal maggots, who did their best to drown out his performance with an endless supply of heckles and heartfelt booing.
Being a predominantly metal festival, it likely came as no surprise to MGK that he was received in this way and true to his nature, he quickly went on the offensive, spitting back at the audience, both individually and as a collective as he played through his set.
In two videos of fan captured footage, you can see MGK's misguided attempts to quieten the crowd.
In the first video, MGK can be heard delivering a spirited request for one of the hecklers to zip it.
"I see you dude, I see you mad as fuck in your weird fucking outfit. I'm here for the same shit you're here for, so it's all good. Clearly, I'm not going nowhere, so just enjoy."
THATS MY NEPHEW YOU ARE YELLING AT. watch your tone @machinegunkelly & that “weird outfit” he is wearing IS FUCKING @slipknot pic.twitter.com/dr5bh8B73u

MGK followed up his initial outburst with an even more spirited one, complete with a lightsaber for backup.
"You keep fuckin' with me, homie? Trained Jedi, bitch!"
This is predictably responded to by the Slipknot loving masses with even more intense booing.

This was all pretty harmless, but as these things are want to do, it eventually got handsy, with some overzealous Slipknot fans appearing to push MGK while he was performing to fans in the crowd. MGK appears to take an ill-advised swing at the fan that pushed him.

Obviously, no one should be interfering physically with an artists performance, and MGK ultimately has the right to defend himself in that situation, however, he is probably lucky the punch didn't land, given the general vibe of the set, things could have ended up rather out of hand. The rest of it was harmless enough and added flames to the fire of a feud that seems destined to follow MGK around for a while.
