Throughout the year, we've seen Howard Jones (Light The Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage) slowly become close with his old band again. First, we saw original and current vocalist Jesse Leach become mates with Jones after hanging out together in the studio for the first time, then word came that Howard dropped by the studio again to record some vocals for new Killswitch Engage material.
Now you can finally add a live duet to that list, because footage has surfaced of Jones jumping on stage with Leach and the rest of the band to perform 'The End Of Heartache' at the O2 in London a few days ago - and it sends absolute chills down our spine to watch. Jesse and Howard play off each other so well and Jones still sounds absolutely massive at the age of 48 (although we knew that with Light The Torch anyway). Check it out!
Jesse Leach posted to his Instagram about the event with a long message about his respect and solidarity for the past vocalist:
Note that this isn't exactly the first time the two have performed together, after they joined forces a decade ago to perform 'My Last Serenade' for the Roadrunner United: The Concert DVD.
We need more songs with these two guys singing together. Like, right now. We also recently tackled the impossible task of listing the five best Killswitch Engage tracks ('The End of Heartache' makes an appearance!).
Listen to Killswitch Engage now.
