Devin Townsend's highly-awaited new solo album Empath is finally out, and to celebrate, he's released a crazy new music video for the track 'Spirits Will Collide'.
The video sees Devy playing a massive concert in outer space, featuring a gorilla playing bass, elephants on percussion, giant rotating speakers in the sky and millions of people. Yep - it's brilliant, cinematic and very expensive-looking.
'Spirits Will Collide' is a mid-paced anthem, using a lot of choral vocals to create a pretty uplifting jam. Check it out:
Devy recently tweeted out that he's spent $170,000 of his own money on making the record, and it definitely shows in the ambitiousness of everything we've seen and heard.
Empath is out now! You can take a listen below, or purchase physically from all good music retailers.
