A massive tribute show has just taken place in Los Angeles' Forum for the late Audioslave and Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell.
The show was hosted by television personality Jimmy Kimmel and featured an absolute ton of big names in music including Metallica, Foo Fighters, Miley Cyrus, The Melvins, members from Rise Against and many others joining former Audioslave members Tom Morello and Brad Wilk to perform covers of fan favourites from Cornell's bands.
While there's only fan-shot footage floating around right now, the clips still capture the atmosphere of the event. One of the highlights from the huge show is Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Metallica's Robert Trujillo joining Wilk and Morello to perform a powerful cover of Audioslave's 'Show Me How To Live'.
While Grohl goes in hard to do the vocals justice, we're only reminded of how great Chris Cornell's voice was. Watch the performance below:
There's also footage of Miley Cyrus performing Temple Of The Dogs' 'Say Hello 2 Heaven', in which the pop star delivers a surprisingly heartfelt and spot-on performance of the track by Cornell's old band:
Soundgarden also jumped on stage to perform 'The Day I Tried to Live' with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins on vocals and Buzz Osborne from grunge pioneers The Melvins:
It's hard to imagine a show of this scale and importance not being filmed in some professional capacity, so keep an eye out for some pro-shot footage of the many performances in the coming months.
We miss you, Chris!
