Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has gone full trucker. Don't stress though, he isn't going country on us all (although that would be interesting), rather Taylor has done it in the name of that most metal of film formats around, horror. Taylor will appear as the friend of a serial killing truck driver in the upcoming horror movie Rucker.
Watch Taylor in action in the film's trailer below.
Rucker's super creepy 0fficial synopsis indicates that Taylor's latest foray into the acting realm isn't suitable for the easily disturbed.
“For the past 30 years, Rucker the trucker has devoted his life to traveling the road as a mass serial killer. When Rucker picks up unsuspecting Maggie, she makes him the subject of her trucker documentary. But her life takes a dangerous detour when Rucker recruits her to complete his masterpiece: A connect-the-dots roadmap portrait of his ex-wife comprised of the women he’s killed who resemble her.”
Taylor's casting as the titular serial killer's (played by Bobby C. King) trucking friend Taco Tuesday is sure to stir the interests of maggots everywhere, while the romantic ones might also get a kick out of knowing his wife Alicia makes an appearance in the film too. Cute. Speaking of romantic connections, the film's director Olympic College film professor Amy Hesketh and producer, Aaron Drane are married and both are credited for writing the screenplay. Naww. The couple that fictionally graphically slays together, stays together.
It's yet another interesting crossover of worlds for Taylor who has made a habit of doing everything from making solo records and authoring books to having heated celebrity feuds.
He and his Slipknot bandmates also released a new song, The Chapeltown Rag, after entering the NFT space in the lead-up.
