It's been a hot minute since Bring Me The Horizon have recorded anything that could be considered really heavy - their latest single for the game Death Stranding, 'Ludens', hinted at the band not quite ready to fully ditch distorted guitars and screams altogether, but their last album amo was largely void of anything older fans would find familiar.
In a new studio video uploaded by the band titled the guttural, vocalist Oli Sykes can be seen working on some new material with keyboardist Jordan Fish, and it's definitely sounding a lot heavier than what we've recently heard from them.
Oli can be heard saying "2020 is the year of the guttural" before laying down some screams in a new song.

Sure, it still doesn't sound like anything close to their deathcore days, but BMTH have been keeping in touch with their roots by busting out classics like 'Pray For Plagues' at recent shows, so who knows?
