Slipknot have been joined onstage by Vended frontman Griffin Taylor. Griffin whose band Vended opened the show, performed a brief duet on Custer with his father, Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor.
Watch fan footage from the show in Bucharest below.
The pairing showcases just how similar the two men's voices are and also comes at a time of celebration for both, with both Vended and Slipknot having new singles out.
Vended released the vicious new single Ded To Me, last week. The ferocious metal anthem is the most accomplished Vended track to date, with the raging riffs, pounding rhythms and ferocious vocals showing the emerging metallers' considerable, and still growing talents. Griffin Taylor's voice remains eerily reminiscent of his father, Corey Taylor's, on the track but Ded To Me displays a definitive desire to be a frontman in his own right, just as Simon Crahan's blistering drumming in Ded To Me's bridge shows that he is a different man to his dad, Corey's Slipknot bandmate Shawn 'Clown' Crahan.
A statement released with the song indicates the sons of Slipknot and their fellow Vended bandmates have also learned a thing or two about maintaining a healthy defiant attitude.
"This song is non-forgiving and uncompromising, we're back and better than ever. This is a straight fuck you."
Vended - Ded To Me
Ded To Me follows Vended's debut EP What Is It//Kill It which was released last year.
The seventh full-length from Slipknot, the cryptically titled The End, So Far will drop on September 30th via Roadrunner Records. To celebrate the announcement, the band shared the lead single The Dying Song (Time Sing) last week. Accompanied by a video directed by the band's own multi-discplinary artist M. Shawn 'Clown' Crahan.
Speaking on The Dying Song (Time To Sing) Crahan reveals
“New Music, new art, and new beginnings. Get ready for the end."
Slipknot - The Dying Song (Time To Sing)
