    Thanks to some pro-shot footage from CBC Music, we're lucky to be graced with the softer side of Devin Townsend after he went to their studio to perform an intimate acoustic set earlier in the year.

    You can check out 'Hyperdrive' below, which is taken from his excellent 2009 record Addicted, then snatch up tickets to his Australian tour in September which will also be in a similar acoustic setting in support of his new album Empath.

    Oh, be still our beating hearts! The man has one of the most angelic singing voices on the planet.

    Here's a fun fact, actually - Devy ranked just outside the top 10 of biggest vocal ranges in the world on VVN Music's list in 2014, with his voice able to go between 4 entire octaves (Mike Patton has the highest range with 6 octaves). The more you know!
