Vended the band featuring the sons of Slipknot's Corey Tayor and Shawn 'Clown' Crahan have dropped a new single Burn My Misery and announced that their debut EP What Is It/Kill It will be out on November 12th.
Built around Simon Crahan's drums and Griffin Taylor's impressive pipes, Burn My Misery continues the rhythmic oriented sound of Vended's previous single Asylum, while introducing a few new sonic elements that showcase the evolving musical abilities of the group as whole.
Just as they did on Asylum, guitarists Cole Espeland and Connor Grodzicki deliver some memorable leads and bassist Jeramiah Pugh offers up so much more than just the basic route notes.
While it is again hard to avoid the obvious comparisons to both Slipknot and Stone Sour, you have to give credit to Vended for striving to cultivate something unique, even if Griffin Taylor really, really sounds like a young Corey Taylor.

The release of Burn My Misery and the announcement of What Is It/Kill It comes off the back off the band's starmaking live performances at Knotfest last month. Vended will be heading out on the road in support of the release throughout the USA in November as they look to step out of the considerable shadows of Griffin and Simon's famous fathers.
