UNIFY Gathering has dropped a huge first announcement for 2022 headlined by The Amity Affliction and Violent Soho!
The quality Queensland double sit atop an amazing all-Aussie lineup consisting of (in alphabetical order) Alpha Wolf, Banks Arcade, Bugs, Bloom, Dream On Dreamer, Gravemind, The Last Martyr, Ocean Grove, Plini, Pridelands, RedHook, Short Stack, Starve, Stepson, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Teenage Joans, Thornhill, To Octavia, WAAX, Wildheart and Yours Truly. Adding the excitement Unify Gathering has said that there is still plenty more acts to come.
At Maniacs, we are super stoked to see a diverse lineup that represents so many corners of the healthy heavy music scene in Australia and we cant wait to see everyone in the scene coming together again in Victoria's Tarwin Meadows after so much time spent apart. Unify Gathering will take place between Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd January 2022.
With The Amity Affliction (Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them) and Violent Soho (Everything Is A-Ok) both bringing tracks from their massive pandemic era albums to life, alongside all the usual faves you can rest assured you're in for some true life highlights.
It'll be the second time that The Amity Affliction has headlined an all-Aussie edition of the festival, having served as the headliners on the first edition of the gathering back in 2015.
We'll leave the wild speculation about which other Aussie heavy music monsters might be joining the lineup to our Maniacs, but given the restrictions on heavy acts leaving the country this year, it's a fair chance the answer will be close to 'everyone you're thinking of'.
Tickets for UNIFY Gathering 2022 go on sale today via Ticketmaster at 12 pm. There's a pre-sale allowing access to tickets one hour early for those extra eager types that you can sign up for here. The capacity is strictly limited to 7'000, so you'll want to make sure that you and your heavy gathering crew are organised.
