TRACE are a two-piece out of Brisbane making their mark with the debut single 'White', a tune dripping with grunge sensibilities and riffs for banging your head to.
It's a sound that takes us right back to a 90's era spearheaded by bands such as Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, but with a modern twist weaved throughout. It's also pretty impressive that such a full sound is achieved by only two members - have a listen below:
Guitarist/bassist/vocalist Chris Arthur explains the meaning behind the track, saying:
"White describes the feelings and emotions you go through in the midst of depression and the addictive nature of such thoughts as suicide, fear and loneliness. That self-destructive path that leads to nowhere good, or safe – we’ve all been there. Then knowing that there is a light, and that light is within you. You’ve just got to reach out and find that switch because no one is going to find it for you. You can sit there screaming, "I’ve been waiting so long", to have you scream back "no one waited for you", or you can go out there and get it!"
TRACE formed back in 2017, so hopefully some more killer tunes are ready to follow!
