Metallica's Master Of Puppets is one of the most instantly recognisable metal songs of all time. A universally beloved thrash metal masterpiece, it is an undisputed metal classic that makes metalheads of all ages spontaneously start air-drumming Lars Ulrich's crash hits the second they hear James Hetfield's mighty intro riff. The titular song from a metal monolith's most universal heralded record, its existence has made millions of people happy. It is however not a happy song, or at least it wasn't until now.
Enter YouTube musical maestros Melodicka Bros and their latest hilariously yet appropriately titled upload Metallica - Master Of Puppets (WAY TOO HAPPY COVER wow). The video which can be seen below sees the Melodicka Bros repurpose the thrash metal masterpiece into a high-spirited, playful, pop-inspired arena rock hit complete with horns and actual puppets and more than a little Tobias Forge influence on the vocal.
There's no denying the hookiness of their rendition or the musical abilities of the duo behind it, it'll put a smile on your dial, so don't fight it.
