The album’s 10 songs were self-produced at Grove Studios in New South Wales. Talking about the record, the band reveal “’Not Without My Ghosts’ mostly deals with the paradox of not wanting to be alive, and yet needing to stay here, while also mourning the loss of friends and trying to use the music as catharsis.” Earlier this week, The Amity Affliction announced a national tour in support of the record, with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Perth throughout October.
It's Hell Down Here follows recent singles I See Dead People and Show Me Your God, in previewing Not Without My Ghosts heralding the band’s return to their heavier roots.
Show Me Your God came in at #89 in the 2022 triple j Hottest 100 countdown, marking the groups 12th entry into the countdown, affirming Australia's undying love for the band.
