While we've been waiting for anything from the upcoming new Deftones record, drummer Abe Cunningham has given us the first small tease of things to come via an Instagram Live chat with fans that recently took place.
During a moment with the band's keyboardist Frank Delgado, Abe played two short clips which were captured by the YouTube channel DeftonesLive and re-uploaded for you to watch below.
It's not really that much to go off, but from what we can hear there are some pretty heavy elements at play - have a listen:
So far we know that Stephen Carpenter may have enlisted a 9-string guitar for recording, and Chino Moreno has said that this new record reminds him a lot of their 2000 classic White Pony, so all signs are pointing to another Deftones belter.
The unannounced album was last confirmed to be arriving later in 2020, and it'll be their first since 2016's Gore. Who's keen?
Listen to Deftones now.
