"Time is a flat circle" says Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg, who has recreated shots of his father Max introducing him to Slipknot when he was a young fan of the band.
You can see his Instagram post below, which shows Jay wearing Corey Taylor's mask from the self-titled era in the early 2000's being introduced to Slipknot guitarist Jim Root by his dad - recreating the event a couple of days ago at the same venue in New Jersey.
Of course, Max Weinberg is the long-time drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and also the drummer for the band on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, so he has always been a well-connected dude.
Jay also played drums for bands like Against Me! and Madball before ultimately landing his dream job at the throne of Slipknot in 2014.
Slipknot's latest album We Are Not Your Kind landed at number 1 chart positions in the US, UK and Australia.
There have also been rumours in the wind of the band's All Hope Is Gone era B-side album Look Outside Your Window being released at some point during this album's cycle, which has more experimental material reminiscent of "Radiohead", according to Corey Taylor.
