In exciting news for maggots worldwide, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has all but confirmed that a new Slipknot album will be released in 2022!
Taylor seemingly let the 'knot's plans slip via a Tweet highlighting his goals and ambitions for 2022. You can see the Tweet that sent the metal side of Twitter into a frenzy below.
Big Shit Coming, 2022 edition: ZvN updates, SK album, secret ‘homecoming’ plans, etc. Stay Tuned!

The 'SK album' part of the Tweet seems to be an obvious reference to an announced 7th full-length record from the Iowa metal icons, which makes a lot of sense when you consider the band released a single The Chapeltown Rag late last year.
Some of the other aspects of the tweet need a little bit of decoding, but we're more than up to the task of speculating what they mean. 'ZvN'is likely to be Zombie vs. Ninja, a gonzo horror comedy' written by Taylor that began shooting last year, while 'secret homecoming plans' could honestly mean anything, but would make sense to be Slipknot tour related.
Speculation aside, the prospect of a new Slipknot album arriving in 2022 has us all very, very excited and maybe just maybe it'll mean we can spend more time listening to Slipknot and less time worrying about feuds with MGK!
