    As any self-respecting maggot would know Slipknot are gearing up to release their seventh studio album The End, So Far on September 30th. Today the band shared the M.Shawn 'Clown' Crahan-directed video for the recent single Yen. Yen showcases the exceptional range of Slipknot and sees one of the world’s most popular and deeply enigmatic bands relentlessly charting new ground as they continue to redefine, revitalize, and reimagine the scope of rock music. The disturbing-yet-captivating video follows suit, drawing you into Slipknot's weird and often disconcerting creative world.

    The moody nature of Yen got us reflecting on the Slipknot songs that we turn to when we find our souls in need of soothing and we included it in our list of Five Slipknot Slow-Burners To Soothe The Soul Of A Maggot.

    The seventh full-length from Slipknot, the cryptically titled The End, So Far will drop on September 30th via Roadrunner Records. The band has shared the lead single The Dying Song (Time Sing) in July. Like ,Yen The Dying Song (Time To Sing) was also accompanied by a video directed by the band's own multi-discplinary artist M. Shawn 'Clown' Crahan. Speaking on The Dying Song (Time To Sing) Crahan reveals 

    “New Music, new art, and new beginnings. Get ready for the end."

    The Dying Song (Time To Sing) followed the single The Chapeltown Rag as our second taste of The End, So Far with both tracks touching on different sides of the Slipknot soundscape.
