A new band called Knifes has put a whole new spin on the supergroup concept, formed by seasoned roadies of bands including Slipknot, Deftones, Linkin Park, Guns 'N Roses and more.
The alternative rock trio consists of drummer Warren Johnson, bassist Brian Diaz and guitarist/vocalist Ben Young, all of whom have spent years touring with some of the biggest artists in the world.
It was Ben Young and Warren Johnson who decided to kick up a little project of their own together while both working for Linkin Park. As Johnson explains to the BBC:
"We were working with Linkin Park while they recorded One More Light and they had this room set up with like three different drum sets. They left it set up that way for like two weeks and they weren't using it the whole time, so we snuck in one day and recorded our first five songs."
It wasn't until the two found themselves on tour with Fall Out Boy that they then recruited Pete Wentz's bass tech Brian Diaz to round out the lineup.
