System of a Down frontman Serj Tankianhas announced the release of two albums this winter. The first, set for release in June, is called Orca and has been described as offering a fresh interpretation to classical music. “Orca is known as the killer whale but is really adarkdolphin, a symbolism for human dichotomy,” says the bohemian rocker.

Jazz-iz Christ will be released a month later in July and although it is Tankian’s concoction, it is ultimately a collaborative effort between many musicians that were curated by Tankian to be part of the group and self-titled album.

Orca will be available on ITunes from June 25 and Jazz-iz Christ from July 23. You can keep updated on his website.
