So without fear or favour, here are is our Friday Fire: Five New Tracks We're Feeling This Friday.
Halestorm - Wicked Ways
Wicked Ways follows The Steeple and Back From The Dead as incendiary singles from Halestorm's brand record Back From The Dead which dropped today! All hale!
Soulfly- Superstition
The latest incarnation of Soulfy explodes into the world with Superstition. The first taste of upcoming album Totem, is an absolute rager. Totem features guest appearances from John Powers (Eternal Champion), Chris Ulsh (Power Trip), and John Tardy (Obituary). Arthur Rizk was also responsible for playing lead guitar on the record.
Watain - Exticies In Night Inifite
The notorious Swedish black metal collective Watain is celebrating the release of their new studio album, The Agony & Ecstasy Of Watain, which arrives just in time to commemorate Walpurgis Night when April moves aside for the month of May and bonfires will light up the night sky. Album opener Exticies In Night Inifite is an absolute ripper, check out the live video below.
Outright- The Hammer
Melbourne hardcore crew Outright deliver unrelenting, pummelling, punishment on this absolute rager of a hardcore track.
The band's frontwoman Jelena Goluza states "In The Hammer’ video we wanted to make a point of showing how the concept of a “witch hunt” has been co-opted by abusers who see accountability as an attack – when the real attack is centuries of murder, exclusion and control they commit against people who challenge the status quo, show strength and independence or literally just dare to exist. What starts with a faceless man in a suit chasing a woman to her death at the pyre he has built, ends in her turning around to tie him to it instead. A consequence of the pain his own behaviour has caused. The microphone that represents speaking our truth is lit to become a torch for justice and the flame to burn it all down.” Outright's album Keep You Warm is set for release on Friday, July 15th via Reason and Rage Records.
Silverstein - Live Like This feat. nothing, nowhere.
Canadian post-hardcore veterans Silverstein serve up big hooks, bigger energy on this single from their brand new album Misery Made Me which dropped today via UNFD. Featuring cross-genre superstar nothing, nowhere. Live Like This is another example of Silverstein's late career resurgence.
