Gold Coast hardcore five-piece Novus are continuing to build up a strong presence in the Aussie heavy music scene with the release of their first track of 2021, 'Water Under The Bridge'!
This new belter from the lads is full of hard-hitting riffs and pissed-off vocals, and of course, a huge breakdown that would open up the most still pit at any show. The beauty of the track lies in its direct approach, and it reminds us a little of some hardcore gems over the years like For The Fallen Dreams and Sworn In.
'Water Under The Bridge' is the final of four singles the band have released over 2020-2021, following up the previous singles 'Mythomania (feat. Void Of Vision's Jack Bergin)', 'Reflect' and 'Hopeless'.
The band's drummer/lyricist Jon Prestage elaborates on the introspective meaning behind the tune, saying:
"The song is about past events that are no longer important. It's easy to get caught up in what is happening at the time and the different emotions connected to those moments, but at the end of the day, how many of them really matter? What’s happened has happened and you can choose to let it consume you, or move on and become a better version of yourself for it."

Novus also released their debut EP called 'Solace' back in 2019, and have now definitely positioned themselves as a band to watch closely in 2021!
