Just a couple of months after dropping their latest single 'Reflect', Gold Coast hardcore band Novus are back with another crushing new jam called 'Mythomania', which is as scathing musically as it is in message.
As drummer/lyricist Jon Prestage explains:
"...many people in the world can relate to this track as it refers to compulsive liars who will lie about everything, no matter how much pain and suffering it causes the person on the other end. The song was written as an emotional outlet to express feelings from a personal experience and to send a message across that it is important to tell the truth, no matter what the situation is, as lying only causes more harm than good."
To make things even more incendiary, Novus have brought Void Of Vision vocalist Jack Bergin into the fold for 'Mythomania', who lends some huge vocals leading into the end of the track - get your daily exercise in with some spinkicks below:
'Mythomania' rounds out a trilogy of singles that the band have shared in 2020, with the aforementioned 'Reflect' and the more melodic 'Hopeless' finding themselves in the growing Novus arsenal, and one that's undoubtedly waiting to be unleashed on Australian audiences as live shows slowly become a part of life again.
