Seeing as the prospect of live music is currently pretty bleak, YouTube has become the main source to get your fix; bands have been releasing entire live sets for people to watch for free, and now there's a new channel that has popped up full of old and rare footage from the 90s and 00s to binge!
The channel, Liberate Tape Archive, has secured and uploaded tons of shows from both well-known and more obscure nu-metal, metalcore and emo bands including Limp Bizkit, Staind, Trapt, Meshuggah, Snot, Ultraspank, Orgy, Vision Of Disorder and Mudvayne to name just a few.
As the channel's mission statement reads:
"We specialize in obtaining rare concert footage that have never seen the light of day until now. We scour the internet for old filmers & archivists in hopes they will answer our requests to liberate their rare unreleased tapes that have been stored in boxes, basements, attics, closets and storage units for years never to be seen again, Until now."
It's an amazing time capsule that can eat up a decent amount of your new-found free time in isolation - here are a couple of our favourites so far:
Limp Bizkit (1998)
36 Crazyfists (2002)
Killswitch Engage (2002)
Avenged Sevenfold (2003)
Sevendust (1998)
Static-X (1999)
At the time of writing, there are 66 uploads on the channel and counting, so if heading on deep nostalgia trips is your thing, it's definitely worth heading over there to dive in!
All That Remains, Cold, Nonpoint and more are waiting!
