To be nominated and inducted into Ohio's Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has long been seen as a prestigious honour since its inception in 1983, where legendary artists are selected each year to join its ranks of immortality.
This year, Nine Inch Nails were inducted alongside five others on the HBO-televised ceremony, with Iggy Pop giving NIN's induction speech along with words from St. Vincent, Miley Cyrus, Rick Rubin and more.
Reznor's acceptance speech included thanks to the classic NIN lineups who were actually inducted, but also a list of past members who moved in and out of its ranks over the years. It's a selfless speech, and it's great to see such an iconic band join the likes of Metallica, Deep Purple and countless others.
Watch the speech below:
The selected Nine Inch Nails lineup for induction included Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Ilan Rubin, Danny Lohner, Chris Vrenna and Robin Finck.
Other artists included in 2020's induction were Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, The Notorious B.I.G and T-Rex.
Nine Inch Nails were nominated in 2016 but not inducted, prompting frontman Trent Reznor to say he "couldn't give less of a shit" if they were inducted or not, before coming back around and attending in 2019 to give the induction speech for The Cure.
Listen to Nine Inch Nails now.
